What it does

HetrixTools Blacklist Monitor checks configured IP addresses and domains against email-reputation blacklists and Microsoft Smart Network Data Services (SNDS). It is a specialized deliverability-reputation monitor, separate from HetrixTools' website and server uptime monitoring product.

Monitor the reputation of an outbound sender

The Blacklist Monitor is for a different question from ordinary uptime monitoring: has an IP address or domain used for mail appeared on a reputation list? HetrixTools' setup guide starts in the Blacklist Monitors area, where you add an IP and then review its listing status. The product page also describes domain monitoring and Microsoft SNDS coverage.

An illustrative first check, not hands-on tested, would be to add one outbound mail-server IP and review which lists report it, then enable the account's alerting so a listing change is visible to the mail operations team. The example does not perform a lookup.

The published comparison lists 94 blacklists and Microsoft SNDS, and the free plan permits 32 monitors with a 24-hour check interval. Paid plans start at $9.95 per month and offer different limits and check options. A daily free check may be too slow for teams that need more frequent reputation updates.

Strengths

  • Checks IP and domain reputation against 94 listed blacklists and Microsoft SNDS.
  • The free plan includes up to 32 blacklist monitors.

Watch out for

  • The free plan's published check frequency is once every 24 hours, which may not suit teams that need more frequent checks.
  • The product is focused on sender reputation rather than general application or infrastructure health.

Best for

  • Teams responsible for outbound email deliverability that need alerts when sending IPs or domains appear on reputation lists.
