What it does
HeVeA translates LaTeX into HTML5. The project provides a manual, example translations, source distributions, and installation through the OCaml package ecosystem.
The 2.37 manual translates a main TeX file into one HTML file, with Hacha available to split it into linked pages. A named output path also controls auxiliary files, and its directory must already exist. Filter mode instead reads/writes standard streams for isolated constructs rather than full documents. The image-generation companion needs a separate LaTeX/dvips/Ghostscript processing chain; the optional Esponja optimizer replaces its input unless its no-alter option is chosen. The homepage lists 2.38, HTML5 output and a frozen 1.99 branch for HTML 4.01. Core licensing is QPL, with LGPL runtime parts.
