What it does

Hevy is a workout tracker for iOS and Android, with a web view and supported watch apps. It provides routine planning, set logging, exercise notes, rest timers, progress charts and social features for following other athletes.

A useful setup is to build one routine you repeat and add notes that matter on the next visit to the gym. Hevy distinguishes warm-up, drop and failure sets, making the log more descriptive than one total for the entire workout.

The social side lets people follow athletes and save routines, while the web view gives more room to organize plans and inspect exercise progress. Those are separate tasks, so decide whether you need shared activity or simply a personal record. Check watch support for your device if you want to leave the phone aside during a session.

Free access allows four routines and seven custom exercises, with three months of workout and statistics history in the views described by the help page. Pro adds unlimited routines and custom exercises, longer statistics and Hevy Trainer programming. Apple Watch and Wear OS support are listed for both tiers.

Strengths

  • Set types, notes and timers make the workout log more detailed.
  • Web and watch access offer alternatives to the phone screen.

Best for

  • Lifters combining routine planning with detailed set-by-set logs.
