What it does
Hindenburg PRO is an audio editor designed around spoken-word production.
Import interview audio, transcribe it locally and use the searchable Manuscript to assemble a rough structure before refining the timeline. Hindenburg PRO exports common delivery formats including WAV and MP3 and can publish to configured targets. It is a spoken-word editor; importing video does not make it a picture editor.
Check the current workstation requirements before choosing it: the inspected specifications list Windows 11 or later, or macOS Ventura through Tahoe on Apple Silicon, with at least 8 GB RAM. Licence activation still needs periodic online contact. Transcription is local but metered by audio-file minutes, so three hour-long speaker tracks can consume three transcription hours. Narrator remains a separate audiobook product.
