What it does
HitPay combines payment links, invoices, recurring billing, online checkout and point-of-sale tools. It suits businesses collecting money both remotely and at a counter, with payment methods varying by country. The main payment service charges per successful transaction, with additional software fees for tools such as invoicing.
Begin with your business's country. Self-service account creation currently lists Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia; other signups are placed on a waitlist. The country choice becomes permanent when confirmed. Complete the business and owner checks, connect the payout bank account and activate the payment methods needed for your sales. Broader partner coverage has different arrangements, so confirm that route separately if you operate elsewhere.
To bill a customer, select Invoicing > Create Invoice. Enter the currency, amount and invoice number, or add products as individual lines. Allow partial payments can give each instalment its own due date, useful for work paid in stages. Choose the accepted methods and the email option to send both a payment link and PDF.
Paid amounts are protected when an invoice is edited: only the unpaid portion can change, and the revised total cannot fall below money already received. Reminders can follow the invoice or due date. This gives a service business more control than simply sending a link for a single amount.
Singapore fee examples
There is no setup or subscription fee for the main payment service. Published online processing rates include:
| Method | Standard processing fee |
|---|---|
| Domestic cards | 2.8% + S$0.50 |
| International cards | 3.65% + S$0.50 |
| PayNow, at least S$100 | 0.65% + S$0.30 |
| PayNow, below S$100 | 0.9%, minimum S$0.20 |
Invoicing and payment links add a 0.2% software fee to processing. Foreign-currency card transactions carry an additional conversion charge. Hardware is purchased separately, while Tap to Pay works on supported iOS and Android phones.
For custom checkout, HitPay's programming interface (API) creates a payment request with an amount, currency, reference and selected methods. Sandbox and live environments use separate keys and addresses. Ecommerce and accounting connections, including Shopify, WooCommerce, Xero and QuickBooks, provide other ways to fit payments into the business's existing systems.
