What it does
Hobbycraft sells craft supplies and connects its project ideas to relevant products. Projects can show a skill level, estimated time, materials list and step-by-step instructions.
A Hobbycraft project page can provide a more concrete shopping list than a general craft category. Its toadstool-bag example labels the project intermediate, lists the yarn and tools, and pairs linked products with written pattern notes. Read both lists: the explanatory notes can contain colour or quantity detail beyond the product cards. Workshops offer another route for learning a technique. The site states that it no longer ships outside the UK, including the Channel Islands, so that geographic limit matters before building a supply list.
Strengths
- Project pages combine materials lists with technique instructions
Watch out for
- Shipping is limited to the UK and excludes the Channel Islands
Best for
- Turning a chosen craft project into a materials list
