What it does

Holvi offers business payment accounts, company cards, invoices and bookkeeping preparation in Finland, Germany and Austria. Separate market offers let freelancers and small teams manage payments alongside the records their accountant needs.

Choose your country before comparing Holvi: prices, account details and local payment methods vary. The service brings invoices, receipts and business payments together, so an incoming payment can be matched to an invoice and a card purchase can carry its receipt.

For German solo businesses, the monthly-billing options include:

Plan Monthly account fee Transfers and account details
Flex €0 €0.25 per transfer
Lite €9 plus VAT 100 transfers and two IBANs
Pro €15 plus VAT 500 transfers and five IBANs

Annual subscriptions have separate offers. Flex also has a €4.50 monthly inactivity charge after more than 30 days without a transfer or card transaction, waived during the first 12 months.

Holvi’s bookkeeping tools let you categorise transactions, add VAT details and notes, and store receipt images. Account statements can be downloaded as PDF, spreadsheet or camt.052 files. These exports are useful when the accountant works outside Holvi.

Use Open account to provide your personal and company details, email address and phone number. Identity and business verification must be completed before the account can be used. Holvi describes itself as a licensed payment institution: customer funds are segregated, and its payment accounts are not covered by deposit insurance.

Strengths

  • Invoices, receipts and payments can be prepared together for bookkeeping.
  • Statement exports include PDF, spreadsheet and camt.052 formats.

Watch out for

  • Flex has transfer charges and an inactivity fee after the first year.
  • Payment-account balances are segregated but are not covered by deposit insurance.

Best for

  • Freelancers in Finland, Germany or Austria preparing records for an accountant
  • Small businesses that want invoices and receipts beside their account activity
