What it does

Saxo provides investment and trading access through SaxoInvestor and SaxoTrader. Investor emphasizes holdings and research; Trader adds broader instruments, advanced charting and workspace controls. One account login can access both where the platforms are available.

SaxoInvestor suits a portfolio-focused visit, with holdings, analysis and investment ideas. SaxoTrader supports more involved work: its browser layout is modular, while the desktop application adds multiple screens, bulk position closing and margin alerts. Choose the interface around the actual instrument and task, because platform and product availability vary by residence.

Limited platform previews are available before registration. The SaxoTrader demo lasts 20 days and supplies US$100,000 in simulated money across web, mobile and desktop. It is useful for examining layouts and position tools without funding a brokerage account.

Platform setup and ordinary use have no separate charge, but some functions, including Level 2 data and proxy voting, need subscriptions. Stock commissions depend on the exchange and account tier. Compare the selected market’s commission and general service charges rather than treating a low advertised starting rate as the whole cost.

Applicants must be at least 18. Open account first asks for residence; only countries available in that form qualify for new applications. Saxo’s separate list of countries served includes existing customers and is not a promise of new-account availability. Typical checks request a national identifier, valid ID and a selfie, with tax and address documents where required.
