What it does
HoudahGeo geocodes and geotags media on a Mac using GPX tracks, reference photos or locations chosen on a map.
Load photos and tracks, correct camera time or timezone, then verify matched positions before Output. EXIF/XMP Export changes original files, including both JPEG and RAW partners by default; choose copies or sidecars when preserving them. Notify Photos can update library metadata separately. iCloud Photos does not re-upload modified originals, so geotag before adding files when embedded cloud copies need the tags. Lightroom users should write metadata to XMP before loading. Current 7.2 requires macOS 12.4+ and offers a trial download.
