What it does
Huemint creates colour schemes for brand layouts, websites, illustrations and gradients. Its templates give colours different jobs, such as background, foreground or accent. You can lock a swatch and regenerate the others while seeing the combination in a design.
Choose a template, then select Generate. Click a circular swatch to keep that colour fixed. In generation options, switch between Transformer AI, Diffusion Model AI and Random Creative, or change Creativity to vary the results.
The target contrast table sets desired differences between pairs of colours. These values use colour-distance calculations rather than WCAG text-contrast ratios. Raising Creativity can make results depart further from the requested relationships.
To recolour your own design, use Upload image with flat areas of colour. Photographs and gradients are unsuitable for that route. Developers can also use a documented public API for non-commercial applications; Huemint does not guarantee its uptime.
Strengths
- Templates include brand layouts, websites and Bootstrap interfaces.
- Generation options offer several models and named colour directions.
Watch out for
- Image uploads should contain flat colours rather than photos or gradients.
- Target contrast values are not WCAG text-contrast ratings.
Best for
- Designers exploring how colours interact within a layout
