What it does
Hymnary provides search and browsing across hymn texts, tunes, people and hymnals, including melody search.
Use text search when words are your clue and melody search when the tune is more familiar. Distinguishing a text from a tune helps trace how the same words appear in different hymnals.
An index match can identify a text or tune without granting rights to reproduce it. The site also lists copyrighted songs and purchased files, so inspect the selected score’s notice.
