What it does
IBM Cloud offers site-to-site VPN gateways and client-to-site VPN servers for connecting private networks or remote users to VPC resources.
IBM's VPC VPN documentation separates two connection problems. Site-to-site gateways connect a private network to a VPC, using policy-based or route-based IPsec tunnels. Route-based connections can use manually configured routes or dynamic route exchange, which matters as the network topology changes.
Client-to-site servers handle individual remote users through compatible OpenVPN clients. The documentation lists multi-factor authentication and server dashboards for managing connections. Choose the network or user-access model first, then plan the peer gateway, routing and identity configuration. These services connect to private cloud resources rather than supplying browsing exits in arbitrary countries.
