What it does
IconStore groups icon packs by visual treatment and subject, with author credits and a shared site license for ordinary design use.
IconStore is useful when a project needs a related pack around a subject. Filter by outline, glyph or colored artwork, then narrow the catalog by topics such as food, healthcare, business or user interfaces. Each pack keeps its designer credit and describes the included formats.
Formats vary: one collection may provide SVG only, while another includes Illustrator, EPS or PNG files. Comparing packs at that level helps a designer choose something that fits the editing and handoff tools already in use.
The site license permits personal and commercial projects, modifications and ordinary design use without attribution. Redistribution of a pack needs the author's written consent. So does a product whose core value comes from the icons, such as a logo builder. Navigation symbols in a finished design fall within the ordinary-use example. IconStore's premium link leads to a separate product; the published catalog is presented as free.
Strengths
- Subject categories and treatment filters help narrow themed packs.
- Designer credits accompany the curated collections.
Watch out for
- Redistributing packs or using them as a product’s core value requires written author permission.
Best for
- Designers seeking a coherent themed icon pack
