What it does
ifconfig.co displays the request's public IP address and associated location, ASN and client information, with documented programmatic formats.
ifconfig.co shows the public address seen for the request, with ASN, country and other GeoLite2-derived location fields. Compare it with the application or route you intend to inspect, since a proxy or VPN can change the outward-facing address. For scripts, select a field or request JSON with the Accept: application/json header. Force IPv4 or IPv6 through the client’s address-family option; the old v4/v6 subdomains are no longer supported. The FAQ limits automated use to one request per minute and warns that excess requests can receive HTTP 429 or be dropped. Location fields are network-based estimates, not a device’s exact position.
