What it does
Pàdé is a cross-platform browser-extension client for business and organizational collaboration. It uses Converse.js for XMPP chat and group chat, Jitsi Meet for audio/video meetings and screen sharing, and CTXPhone for SIP telephony and conferencing. Its meeting features can discover conferencing services configured on an Openfire server.
An organization with an XMPP deployment can use Pàdé as a browser-based interface for chat and group conversations, then open configured audio/video meetings or screen sharing from the same collaboration client. The project page describes interoperability with Openfire, Jitsi Meet, and SIP-based telephony, which makes the client adaptable to an existing self-managed stack. Pàdé is not presented as a hosted chat service: organizations need compatible server-side services and configuration. No browser extension or server integration was installed or tested.
