What it does
illlustrations, by Vijay Verma, offers vector artwork, character builders and a Croods avatar library. Different collections use CC0, CC BY 4.0 or the site's commercial licence.
Explore opens the older illustration collection, with Copy and download controls beside subjects such as a vintage camera, toolbox and canvas stand. A complete collection is also linked through Gumroad.
For portraits, the Docs playground starts from a seed and lets you choose hair, outfit, expression, glasses, colours and a square, rounded or circular frame. Download SVG saves the result. Developers can also use the React or JavaScript avatar package; saving its resolved JSON preserves manually chosen parts and colours.
Check the licence for the collection you use. Explicitly marked legacy artwork remains CC0. Croods artwork in the avatar package uses CC BY 4.0, requiring credit and an indication of changes. Premium assets allow commercial client work but exclude stand-alone redistribution, competing resource products and public sharing of source files.
There is lasting free access. Pro adds premium builder assets and is advertised at launch prices of USD 5 per month or USD 60 for one-time Lifetime Pro, before tax.
