What it does

ImprovMX forwards custom-domain aliases to existing inboxes and supports SMTP sending, an API, regular-expression routing and multiple destinations. It documents controls over the level of email logging.

ImprovMX forwards custom-domain aliases to existing inboxes, with catch-all and regular-expression rules, multiple destinations and webhooks. SMTP/JSON sending and a management API cover outgoing mail and administration.

For troubleshooting, Account Settings > Privacy controls log detail and retention. Logs default to seven days; paid subscribers can extend that period. A domain can override the account's detail level, while retention stays account-wide. Minimum keeps delivery and client data; Standard adds message metadata; Full also stores undelivered messages.

The download guide limits failed or rejected message downloads to up to seven days at the highest detail level. Successfully delivered messages are available only briefly after delivery. This is a configurable forwarding service, so its general transparency statement about deleting delivered mail should not be read as a universal no-content-storage promise.

Strengths

  • Catch-all, regular-expression and multiple-destination routing are documented.
  • Logging privacy levels can be adjusted.
  • SMTP sending and API management are offered.

Best for
