What it does

Indy synchronizes and categorizes transactions, associates invoices and receipts, and organizes accounting and French tax-declaration work. It serves independent businesses and several French company structures. Free bookkeeping and invoicing are available, while declaration preparation and accountant support depend on the paid offer.

Indy builds daily bookkeeping from synchronized bank transactions and the documents attached to them. Categorization and value-added tax (VAT) detection help prepare the accounts. Its declaration area organizes work such as balance-sheet and VAT preparation with deadline notifications. A business can work through the application itself or use partner-accountant support.

Match the offer to your legal structure

Choose the relevant business type on the pricing page before comparing plans. Prices for an individual business, a micro-entreprise, a property business and a company are different. The company section covers SAS, SASU, SARL and EURL structures.

Company offer Published starting price, excluding VAT Main distinction
Essentiel Free Transaction categorization and unlimited quotes and invoices
Plus option €108 per year, or €12 monthly Repeating invoices, payment reminders and quote signatures
Autonomie €588 per year, or €59 monthly Prepare and transmit company declarations yourself
Sérénité €1,188 per year, or €119 monthly Partner accountant handles declarations and prepares the accounts
Exclusivité €1,788 per year, or €179 monthly Dedicated accountant with telephone and video contact

An Indy account is needed for the application. The free offer does not include the company's mandatory tax declarations.

Bringing an existing business across

The opening balance is part of the accounting initialization activity. Compare it with the balance sheet at the previous year-end and check that it balances to zero. Indy carries across balance-sheet accounts, numbered 1 to 5 in the French account structure, rather than the previous year's income and expense accounts.

When the figures agree, choose Valider et fermer mon initialisation, meaning validate and close initialization. This prepares the starting position for the next close. Invoicing and collection tracking then keep new sales documents close to the transactions they explain.

Strengths

  • Free invoicing includes unlimited quotes and invoices.
  • Separate offers let a business prepare declarations itself or use a partner accountant.
  • Initialization identifies which opening balances are carried into the new year.

Watch out for

  • Declaration and accountant services vary with the legal structure and paid offer.
  • The free company offer excludes mandatory tax declarations.

Best for

  • French independent businesses keeping their transaction records in one application
  • French companies choosing between self-service declarations and accountant support
