What it does
Inkiostro is a Markdown editor for Apple devices and Android. The official site describes plain .md files, offline use, no account or ads, a source editor and a visual editor, plus PDF, HTML, and EPUB export. Its free version includes unlimited documents and core writing tools; Pro adds capabilities such as version history, focus modes, and advanced publishing exports through a one-time purchase.
Inkiostro keeps the writing workflow centered on Markdown files and distinguishes free everyday writing from an optional paid upgrade. That is useful for people who want to try a visual editor without moving their notes into a proprietary format. The official site and App Store listing both emphasize no subscription; the listing currently shows a $19.99 Pro purchase and a trial period for Pro features.
