What it does

Intershop combines B2B commerce, product and content management, customer self-service, and order operations. Its cloud packages provide different scope for buying workflows, service tools, and multichannel fulfillment.

Intershop Order Management can combine orders from shops, marketplaces, EDI, and sales teams. Routing rules use inventory, cost, delivery time, and other business priorities to assign the work. Map the fulfillment locations and decide who handles exceptions before automating that choice. Order, payment, shipment, and return history give service staff a way to follow the same lifecycle.

Choose a subscription around both the buying process and the downstream operation:

Package Included scope to consider
Essential Commerce, content and product information, customer-specific catalogs and price lists, and REST APIs
Advanced Adds quotations, purchasing limits, approvals, order templates, and customer-service tools
Professional Adds Order Management, including order capture, routing, and returns

Premium round-the-clock support is an additional option. Request rates for the package and support arrangement you need.

Commerce Management users log in with access defined by their organizational roles. Assign those roles around each department's work so buyers, service staff, and administrators see the appropriate functions.

Strengths

  • Orders from several sales channels can share a fulfillment process
  • B2B purchasing controls include quotations, limits, and approvals in Advanced

Watch out for

  • Order Management is included in Professional rather than every package
  • Premium round-the-clock support is an additional option

Best for

  • Manufacturers and distributors connecting business purchasing with complex fulfillment
