What it does
IPFire is open-source firewall software with network segmentation, packet filtering, VPN and web-management capabilities.
IPFire's network-zone approach is useful when guest devices, internal users and exposed servers should have different trust boundaries. Define those zones before translating them into allowed connections. The product page describes a web management console and encrypted connectivity alongside filtering.
