What it does
iplicit is cloud finance software covering the general ledger, customer billing, credit control and financial analysis. Expenses and timesheets can be approved and allocated to cost centers or projects.
Billing and revenue timing are separate tasks in iplicit. A business can invoice for products, time, subscriptions or project milestones, while deferred-revenue functions spread revenue across periods and post the related journals. That distinction matters when a contract’s invoice date differs from the period in which its work is recognized.
Expenses and timesheets can also pass through approval and be allocated to a cost center or project. Set those reporting destinations consistently so the ledger analysis reflects the operational structure. The accounting policy behind a deferral still comes from the organization’s finance team.
For an external audit, create a dedicated user with the free Auditor licence and assign the Auditor user group. On Data control, restrict the account to the relevant entities, cost centers or departments. A Date to can end access after the audit. This gives the reviewer controlled read-only access within an existing customer system.
The software itself uses a tailored commercial quote. iplicit says pricing depends on the organization and requirements, with invoice volume and entity structure among the inputs, and that it does not offer a free trial. A product demo is the route to assess the proposed setup.
