What it does
IP Messenger combines local-network messaging with file and folder sending, automatic member discovery and a send queue.
Select colleagues in the Send window and drag in files or folders, then send the message. The recipient starts the attachment download, unless automatic receiving is configured. Send Queue can wait in the background while a receiving computer is inactive, but restarting the sender clears earlier attachment permissions. Received folders are saved as new folders and cannot overwrite an existing folder. The original Windows LAN messenger is free for commercial or personal use under its stated redistribution conditions; Pro adds auditing controls. Member Master supports discovery across routers, while other-platform ports are separate implementations.
