What it does

Jenni is an AI workspace where researchers read, write, and cite. It lets you import PDFs or collections from Zotero and Mendeley, search academic sources, and write with AI autocomplete that suggests cited sentences. Every AI-suggested sentence links to the exact page and paragraph in the source PDF, and citations are available in 10,000+ styles.

Jenni is a writing environment for research papers, not a general chatbot. You bring your own sources, either by uploading PDFs or importing collections from Zotero and Mendeley, and the AI autocomplete suggests sentences grounded in those papers. Each suggestion is cited and can be traced to the exact page and paragraph in the source PDF, so you can check a claim against the original document. The editor also supports inline citations in 10,000+ styles and exports to .docx, LaTeX, or HTML. A separate Reviews feature scans your paper and flags issues such as unsupported or overstated claims. The free plan includes 10 AI autocompletes per day, 10 PDF uploads, 3 AI edits, 5 AI chat messages, 3 reviews, and 3 workflow runs. Paid plans raise these limits, with Pro offering unlimited use of most features. Because the tool builds from the sources you choose, the quality of its output depends on the quality of your library, and you still need to judge whether each suggestion fits your argument.
