What it does
Jortt connects bank transactions with automated bookings, invoice matching, VAT return submission and year-end accounting records. Its free Starter plan covers invoices, quotes and time records. Bookkeeping requires ZZP, MKB or Plus, with a 30-day trial of the paid functions.
Give the Boekhoudbot a precise rule
Jortt's Boekhoudbot creates bookings from incoming and outgoing bank movements using standard and custom rules. It also matches invoice payments and sends recurring invoices.
Open Instellingen → Boekhoudbot → Eigen regels maken of bewerken → Regel toevoegen. Name the rule, add conditions such as the counterparty account, description and amount, then choose its booking action and category. All conditions must match.
Use a draft-booking action if you want to approve the results first. Drafts appear under Nog te doen and do not affect the books until approved. Before activating a rule, inspect the matching unbooked movements. Existing posted entries remain unchanged.
Only the first matching rule runs. Place a specific rule above a broader one, and use Toon aangemaakte boekingen to inspect what it created. Deleting a rule does not delete its past postings.
Four subscriptions with different scope
Standard prices are per business registration number, excluding VAT:
| Plan | Paid monthly | Monthly equivalent when paid annually | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free | Free | Invoices, quotes, time and Peppol e-invoices; no bookkeeping |
| ZZP | €21.95 | €19.95 | Sole traders, one business bank account, up to 250 postings/month |
| MKB | €29.95 | €27.95 | Other business forms, multiple bank accounts and unlimited postings |
| Plus | €39.95 | €37.95 | More automation and project or cost labels |
Annual subscriptions charge twelve months together and renew for another year. The 30-day trial does not convert automatically. Upgrading during it currently reduces the first three months to €9.95 each.
Payroll is an extra charge on supported plans: the regular price is €9.50 per payslip, after the introductory offer. It is not included simply because the business uses paid bookkeeping.
From daily books to year-end
The bookkeeping feeds VAT-return submission through Jortt and the figures used for year-end work. Annual income or company-tax return figures are prepared for the user to transfer into the relevant return.
You create an account and can give colleagues separate logins and permissions. Jortt does not add its own charge for supported bank connections, although the bank may charge. Review Nog te doen alongside the bank-driven postings to deal with entries that still need attention.
Strengths
- Custom rules can create drafts for approval instead of posting immediately
- The rule view shows the entries a particular rule created
- Starter includes continuing free invoicing and time records
Watch out for
- The free plan does not include bookkeeping
- ZZP is limited to one business bank account and 250 monthly postings
- Removing an automation rule leaves its earlier postings intact
Best for
- Dutch sole traders managing bank-led bookkeeping
- Small companies that want to review and refine automated posting rules
