What it does
Joyn groups live television, broadcaster libraries, series, films and sport, with personalised and accessibility browsing routes.
Start in a broadcaster library for catch-up or Live TV for a channel, then check whether the title needs Joyn+. The paid offer adds features including live restart, selected mobile downloads and up to four simultaneous devices. It is not fully ad-free: live channels and some licensed programmes still have advertising.
Joyn+ allows up to ten downloaded titles for as long as 30 days, with 48 hours to finish one after starting. Joyn Free is restricted to Germany. The Plus page permits temporary EU viewing of Plus-exclusive content, so a paid account does not mean that every free broadcaster programme travels with it.
Watch out for
- Joyn+ retains ads on live television and some licensed content.
- Free viewing is Germany-only; temporary EU portability applies to Plus-exclusive content.
