What it does

JustSketchMe is a pose-reference tool with joint controls, props, lighting and perspective settings. Its full toolset includes reusable poses and scenes, transparent screenshots and selected-character geometry export. Basic use is free; Pro provides the full web toolset through a subscription or one-time purchase.

The Move tool positions a figure or moves a limb's end through inverse kinematics. Rotate adjusts a joint around a chosen axis. Add a prop from the props menu, or import an OBJ, then attach it to a character joint so it follows later pose changes. Lock finished objects to prevent accidental movement while adjusting the rest.

Hold the camera-save control for one second to store position, rotation and field of view; tap it to return. Save scene in the scenes menu records the figures, props and settings at that moment. These are snapshots, so later changes need a new save rather than silently updating the stored scene.

For a drawing reference, choose Take screenshot from the export menu to save a transparent PNG. Export model as .obj instead writes only the active character. It does not export the entire scene with all figures and props. Uploaded image references have a 2 MB limit.

Basic access is free. Pro provides the full web toolset through a subscription or one-time purchase. Its key synchronises saved poses and scenes across activated devices, with three devices permitted. The terms allow personal and commercial created materials without required credit; ending the licence removes full-feature access, including saved poses and scenes.

Strengths

  • Attached props follow the joint while the figure is posed.
  • A saved camera view and scene snapshots preserve separate composition decisions.

Watch out for

  • OBJ export covers only the active character, not the full scene.
  • Saved scenes do not automatically update when the current scene changes.

Best for

  • Figure references with a held object or planned camera angle
  • Illustrators revisiting pose and lighting compositions
