What it does

KardsAI is an AI flashcard maker. It turns PDFs, PowerPoints, images, notes and prompts into editable cards. You can study with flashcards, quizzes, word matches and an AI tutor. Spaced repetition and progress tracking help you remember what you study.

KardsAI is built for people who already have study material and want to skip making cards by hand. You drop in a file, paste text or type a prompt, and it pulls out the essentials into an editable deck. From there you can switch between flashcards, multiple choice, true or false and matching games, or talk through the material in a voice session with the AI tutor. Spaced repetition brings cards back at set intervals, and progress tracking shows how well you are retaining them. The free plan has clear limits: three PDF pages, 2,000 words of text and 25 prompt cards. The Pro plan raises those to 50 pages, 20,000 words and 100 cards, and removes ads. The site says you can study online or offline. There is no public API or open source statement on the pages we checked, so those remain unknown.
