What it does
Animation Desk is KDAN’s drawing and animation app for iOS, Android and Windows. It supports frame sequences, onion skins and storyboard exports. The documented free iOS plan allows three sketch layers and three sequences, with watermarked video or GIF output; Pro adds capacity and export formats.
A storyboard and a movie use different outputs
In the iOS Sequence tab, open Export from either gallery or grid view. Video output offers square, 4:3 or 16:9 proportions and one audio track. For a storyboard, draw each shot in a frame and export PDF sheets using one of four layouts.
PSD export turns each frame into a Photoshop layer. If several drawing layers are selected, they are merged within each frame before export. Use the native ad.package format when continuing an editable project in another Animation Desk edition.
The iOS plan boundary
Basic includes three sketch layers, three sequences and one animatic storyboard. Pro adds eight sketch layers plus a background, unlimited sequences and storyboards, and watermark-free video or GIF. Pro uses an annual subscription.
