What it does

Keka combines HR records, payroll, hiring and performance management. Its onboarding tools assign preparation to internal teams while the new hire completes tasks through a candidate portal. Packages differ in their task limits, electronic signatures and pre-boarding features.

Build onboarding around the role and department: set the tasks, dates, documents and messages that each hire needs. The candidate portal shows their progress, while HR, IT and managers prepare their side of the start. Offer templates, digital acceptance and policy acknowledgements keep the paperwork in that process.

Package differences

Package Relevant scope
Foundation Core records, payroll and basic onboarding with limited tasks
Strength Adds unlimited onboarding tasks, Keka Sign and more advanced reporting
Growth Adds event-based workflows, pre-boarding and performance management

Keka offers a free trial through its pricing page. Implementation carries a separate charge for configuration, employee-data import and checking salary history; ask for that alongside the package quote.

Employees normally receive an invitation at their work email, set a password and sign in. An administrator can invite them when adding their profile or afterward. Where a person has no work email, the administrator can generate login credentials instead.

Strengths

  • Role and department workflows can assign different onboarding work
  • The candidate portal brings the hire's tasks and progress together

Watch out for

  • Foundation limits onboarding tasks; Strength adds unlimited tasks
  • Implementation has a separate setup fee

Best for

  • HR teams organizing pre-joining tasks across new hires and internal departments
