What it does
Khipu provides bank-transfer collection and reconciliation tools, alongside recurring payment services. Its Chile-only Automatic Payments product obtains a signed mandate before later charges. A collection account is required, and published Chilean pricing charges per collection or subscription transaction.
An integrated checkout creates a payment request and gives the customer a payment button or link. After the customer returns to the store, the payment can still be under verification. Khipu then checks the transfer and sends a notification. Validate that notification before releasing the order; arriving at the return page alone does not confirm payment.
Registering a user creates a collection account. Link the receiving bank account to activate it; Khipu's setup guide describes a verification payment from that bank account, returned on the next business day. Development collection accounts use test banks and should be replaced with production credentials for live collection.
Chilean price options
| Service | Published charge before VAT |
|---|---|
| Instant Payments, percentage tariff | 0.69% of the amount collected |
| Instant Payments, fixed tariff | UF0.0105 per transaction |
| Automatic Payments under a Khipu agreement | From UF0.0125 per transaction |
| Automatic Payments, subscription-only service | From UF0.0555 per transaction |
UF is Chile's inflation-adjusted unit of account, so a UF price is not a fixed peso amount. The instant-payment tariffs and the full automatic-payment agreement include next-business-day settlement, with volume discounts available. The subscription-only option covers enrollment rather than the complete collection service.
Follow each recurring charge's result in the platform. An active mandate and a paid invoice are separate records when reconciling subscriptions.
