What it does

Klim Type Foundry sells retail typefaces and custom designs, with design essays and examples of fonts in use. Its paid licences use one-off fees with no expiry. Free test downloads contain limited characters and are for internal evaluation.

Klim’s Download test fonts package includes retail families as OTF and WOFF2 files, plus variable versions where available. Family names start with Test. These files omit OpenType features and extended characters, so they are intended for layout approval before purchasing the full versions.

Desktop fonts cover logos, print, static images and non-broadcast videos for a company’s own website or social accounts. Video made for paid advertising requires the separate Advertising licence. Webfonts use WOFF2, and app fonts use TTF.

Checkout creates an account automatically. Later, enter the purchase email on Account to receive a sign-in link and retrieve files or receipts. For a client purchase, Fonts are for someone else records the client as licensee. Licence upgrades charge the difference for increased coverage.
