What it does

Kodus is an open source AI code review tool. Its agent, Kody, reviews pull requests, posts inline comments and works with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and Forgejo/Gitea, including self-managed versions. Teams can run Kodus on their own infrastructure with Docker Compose or Helm, or use the cloud version. You bring your own model key, such as Claude, GPT, Gemini, Llama or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. A 14-day free trial covers up to 35 PR reviews and does not require a credit card. Documentation is available.

Kody maps callers, callees and tests around a change, including code in linked repositories. Review rules can be written in plain language or imported from .cursorrules, CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md. Kody pulls requirements from Jira, Linear and Notion and checks pull requests against them. Users can ask about a flagged item in the pull request and save corrections as memories for later reviews. Unimplemented suggestions can become issues. A dashboard reports deploy frequency, cycle time, bug ratio and PR size. The core is AGPL licensed and source code is on GitHub. Kodus states it does not store source code and does not train models on customer data.
