What it does

Koko Analytics is a WordPress analytics plugin with pageview, visitor, referrer and real-time reports. Its paid Pro add-on extends the free core with geolocation, device and event tracking, UTM campaigns and email reports.

Koko Analytics puts traffic reports inside WordPress. Install the free plugin through Plugins > Add New Plugin, search for Koko Analytics by Danny van Kooten, then Install Now and Activate. Analytics > Settings lets you exclude visits from selected WordPress roles or IP addresses and set data retention.

Campaign reporting requires Pro. In the Koko Analytics settings, turn Enable UTM tracking? to Yes and save. After tagged visits arrive, the dashboard's referrer section offers Campaigns, Mediums and Sources, with visitor and pageview totals for the chosen dates.

Only source, medium and campaign parameters are recorded. Content and term are ignored, and enabling the option does not add campaign information to past visits. A promotion that needs separate ad-variant results must therefore fit those distinctions into the supported fields.

Pro plan Annual price Sites
Single EUR 59/year 1
Multi EUR 99/year 5
Agency EUR 249/year 25

The core stays free. All Pro plans have the same premium features; a WordPress multisite network counts as one activation. Pro renews annually and uses a purchased license key.

Strengths

  • Provides a free core for visitor, pageview and referrer reporting.
  • Uses the same Pro feature set across site-count plans.

Watch out for

  • UTM reporting ignores the content and term parameters.
  • Campaign data is collected only after UTM tracking is enabled.

Best for

  • WordPress publishers comparing straightforward traffic and campaign sources
