What it does

Krom Bank combines a main transaction account, savings pockets and term deposits in its Indonesian app. Pocket targets help allocate money by purpose, while Basic and Boost modes have different access conditions. The account has no monthly administration fee, with a monthly allowance of free transfers and top-ups.

Krom’s main account is the balance for transfers and bills. Savings pockets keep other purposes visible, and a pocket target can be added through Target Nabung in the pocket’s details. Enter the amount, review it and select Buat Target.

Boost mode changes what can be done with a pocket. It must remain active for at least seven days to qualify for interest, and the pocket cannot transact while Boost is enabled. Turning it off too soon can forfeit interest or trigger an adjustment if interest was already paid. Use the Boost banner in the pocket details to enable or disable it. Basic mode returns when Boost is switched off.

Joining and everyday charges

Registration is for Indonesian citizens aged at least 18 with an original KTP. Enter a mobile number and personal details, submit the ID photo and selfie, then activate the approved account by choosing an account number and setting a PIN.

Opening and monthly administration cost Rp0. The combined free allowance covers 100 transfers and top-ups per month. After it is used, app-based interbank transfers cost Rp2,500; wallet top-ups cost Rp1,000 to Rp1,500, depending on the service. Closing the account costs Rp10,000.

Term deposits are a separate option from these pockets, with their own periods and renewal choices. The distinction matters when deciding which balance will cover a near-term bill.

Strengths

  • Pocket targets identify the amount assigned to each savings purpose.
  • Basic and Boost modes give a defined choice between transaction access and holding conditions.

Watch out for

  • Boost pockets cannot transact until Boost is disabled.
  • Ending Boost before seven days can lose interest or cause a paid-interest adjustment.

Best for

  • Indonesian adults separating spending money from savings targets
  • Customers who can leave a selected pocket unused for at least seven days
