What it does
KuCoin provides cryptocurrency spot trading, conversion and trading bots, with separate margin and futures products. New users need an account, identification documents and facial verification. Its global terms exclude several countries and regions, including the United States, Singapore and mainland China.
Before opening a KuCoin account
New users must complete identity verification before using KuCoin products. Choose Individual Verification, select the issuing country and document type, upload the requested ID photos and complete face verification.
The global terms name the United States and its territories, Singapore, mainland China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ontario, British Columbia, France and the Netherlands among restricted locations. Brazil has separate terms. Regional KuCoin services should be assessed under their own agreement.
Conversion, spot orders and bots
Convert exchanges supported assets through a quoted conversion. The spot interface provides an order-based market, while bots automate repeated instructions. Margin and futures add borrowing or contract obligations and should not be confused with a spot purchase.
KuCoin charges trading fees and asset-dependent withdrawal fees. Its fee explainer describes maker and taker pricing, volume tiers and a KCS payment discount, but the live fee table should determine the rate for a particular pair. Automated orders can still lose money when crypto prices move against them.
