What it does
Lace is Input Output's free wallet for digital assets, collectibles and connected applications. Its mobile apps support Cardano and Bitcoin, while the browser extension also supports Midnight.
Choose Lace's platform according to the network you need. Cardano and Bitcoin are available on mobile; Midnight's shielded and unshielded address options belong to the extension. A network announcement should not be taken to mean that every phone and browser release offers the same features.
The extension's Create flow offers Recovery phrase, displays twenty-four words and asks for their confirmation, a wallet name and a spending password. The credentials are local, with no hosted wallet account to register.
For a mobile Bitcoin payment, open Home and Send, select the Bitcoin account, then enter or scan the recipient and specify the amount in satoshis, the smallest Bitcoin unit. Choose Fast, Average, Low or Custom for the fee, review with Next and authenticate to send. A successful payment appears in activity. Funds committed to a connected financial protocol may not all be available to spend.
Mobile account management has a consequential removal rule: if account #000 is the wallet's only active account, removing it also removes the wallet from the app. Have the correct backup before doing that.
The app download is free. Transactions carry network charges, and Cardano swaps through SteelSwap show estimated output and fees before confirmation. Buying crypto also depends on regional provider availability. The wallet keeps transaction control with you, including the possibility of an unrecoverable mistaken payment or loss in an investment's value.
