What it does
Lakka is a lightweight Linux distribution for turning supported computers into retro-gaming systems. It includes RetroArch features such as controller recognition and rewinding.
Choose the hardware-specific installation instructions, then add game files you are entitled to use. Lakka is suited to a computer dedicated to emulation rather than an ordinary app added to an existing desktop. Its controller and shader options come through the RetroArch-based setup, while actual system support depends on the device.
The basic sequence is to install Lakka on SD or USB media, copy your permitted ROM files onto the device and attach a controller. Rewinding and shaders are useful options to consider after the first system is running; the selected core still determines system support.
