What it does
LameXP is a free multi-format audio converter with multithreaded batch processing. It reads varied audio inputs and outputs formats including MP3, AAC, Opus, Vorbis, and FLAC.
Queue files and select an output encoder for multi-threaded batch conversion. LameXP is a frontend, separate from the LAME codec, with lossy MP3, AAC, Opus and Vorbis outputs as well as FLAC. The GPL application targets Windows; Linux operation is described through Wine. Its published legacy Windows list does not establish compatibility with every newer release.
Strengths
- Offers several output encoders through one batch interface.
