What it does

Lano brings together international payroll, payroll reporting, employer-of-record services and contractor administration. Employee details can be entered manually or copied from a connected human resources information system, or HRIS. Drafts require a deliberate handoff before Lano reviews them.

Complete the employee draft and its required documents, then click Start onboarding. Lano reviews the submitted information and requests clarification if needed. A completed hire becomes Onboarded before their start date or Active once that date has passed.

For synced records, the integration badge shows the connected HR system and latest sync. Mapped fields are read-only in Lano, so make corrections in the originating system. Onboarding > Payroll team members separates drafts, action needed, review and completed cases.

What the services cost

Service Starting monthly charge Scope
Payroll Consolidation EUR 3 per employee Combine data and reporting from local payroll providers
Multi-Country Payroll EUR 19 per employee Have local partners run payroll
Employer of Record EUR 499 per employee Employ internationally without your own entity
Contractor Management EUR 19 per contractor Agreements, invoices and payments

The proposal depends on headcount, countries and services. Confirm Integrated Payments in the quote: the cards call it included, while the FAQ describes an optional add-on and a EUR 25 fee for each SWIFT payment.

Company registration asks for your work email, name, password, legal business name, address and applicable tax ID. Existing company users join by invitation. Payroll needs additional setup after account creation.

Strengths

  • Drafts stay separate from employee records submitted for review
  • The sync badge identifies where imported information came from

Watch out for

  • Synced HR fields must be changed in their source system
  • SWIFT payments carry a separate transaction charge

Best for

  • International payroll teams importing employee data from an existing HR system
