What it does
LaunchBox organizes modern and retro games, imports supported store libraries and uses a community-maintained games database for metadata.
The free organizer is a sensible place to start before deciding whether its Premium customization features matter. Import a small collection and check the metadata matches your editions. LaunchBox can call an emulator, but support for a game in the database does not supply that game or its emulator configuration.
For a television or cabinet, compare Big Box mode specifically. It belongs to Premium, along with saved filters and custom fields. Those are organizer features; the import process still needs to match each title to the right game metadata.
