What it does

Lawmatics combines legal client intake, CRM and automation. Its pipelines track matters through stages, while status filters determine which matters are visible.

A matter can belong to a Lawmatics pipeline and still be hidden from its view. Check the matter's stage and status, then compare the pipeline's selected statuses. Show All Matters temporarily overrides that status filter. Pipelines display matters, so tracking a contact there requires a matter for that contact.

Create the stages before importing records. An import's Stage column assigns matters to the named stage, and stage-based automation entry conditions can trigger immediately for those imports. Review those automations before preparing a bulk intake file.

To move a matter automatically, use Change Attributes > Stage and select the destination stage, including one in another pipeline. A stage referenced by automations must be removed from those automations before it can be deleted.

Scope the intake package

Request a quote for the required contact capacity and automation. The entry Essential package has 500 contacts; Premium raises that to 10,000 and expands workflow and marketing tools. AI add-ons and time/billing have separate scope. Bring the intended matter stages and import file to the discussion so the proposed configuration covers the intake process.

Strengths

  • Stage changes can move matters across pipelines through automation
  • Show All Matters helps identify records hidden by status filters

Watch out for

  • Importing into a stage can immediately trigger its configured automations

Best for

  • Law firms separating intake progress from matter status and case pipelines
