What it does
Lazy Cat Kitchen is Ania and Duncan's plant-based recipe site. The archive is divided into salads and soups, small plates, large plates and sweets, with dishes drawing on several cooking traditions.
The small-plate and large-plate split is helpful when planning what role a dish will play. Roasted beets, fritters and stuffed mushrooms can accompany a meal, while noodle soup, tempeh burritos and tofu bowls provide more substantial starting points. The sweets section has its own range of pies, cakes, cookies and frozen desserts.
Ania develops, cooks and photographs the recipes, and the homepage links both recent dishes and reader favorites. Search is useful for a specific ingredient; the four broad sections work better for browsing. There is also a shop area for ingredients and equipment, so follow the recipe categories when your immediate aim is cooking rather than shopping.
