What it does
Lazydogs Typefoundry publishes retail fonts and creates custom type, including coordinated multiscript families. Desktop fonts are sold with perpetual licences, and limited trial files are available for evaluation.
LD Elly coordinates Latin, Arabic and Greek for continuous reading, with four weights across the scripts. Its italics cover only Latin and Greek. The family page lists OpenType features and links to a specimen, so a trilingual publication can plan emphasis and character coverage before purchase.
In Buying options, choose Desktop or Web, set the number of devices or monthly pageviews, and add individual fonts or the family. Save/Send Cart lets a designer prepare a selection for a client. Online payment provides immediate download links; bank-transfer orders wait for payment confirmation. Desktop purchases supply OTF files, while web packages include WOFF, WOFF2 and TTF.
The standard desktop licence is perpetual and starts at five devices belonging to one company or household. Other users who need the font files require their own coverage. Trial TTFs contain only basic Latin letters, figures and limited punctuation and are restricted to evaluation. Lazydogs also considers free, project-specific student licences on request, with the project reviewed before fonts are provided.
