What it does

Lead Docket manages legal intake, prospective clients, follow-up and case handoff. Status-linked task templates assign work to intake staff or attorneys when a lead reaches the relevant stage. Firms request a tailored quote, and staff use individual accounts with role-based access.

Define the lead status around what the intake team is waiting for. Lead Docket distinguishes a lead awaiting internal screening from one waiting on documents or a signature. Substatuses add a reason, such as why a prospect was lost, without replacing the main stage.

Open Manage → Task Templates → Create New to define work attached to those stages. Choose the associated lead status, case type and office, then define the creation trigger and assignee. The Summary becomes both the assigned task's description and the reminder email's subject, so make it useful to the person receiving it.

Creation, deletion of incomplete work and automatic completion are different triggers. For example, a follow-up task can be created on a status change and removed when the lead leaves that status. Check that distinction before copying a template across the firm's intake process. Administrators and users with task-template permission can customize this work.

Use the pricing page to request a quote for the firm's intake needs. After logging in, the Home Screen shows the tools available to the user's role.
