Compleat Lexical Tutor links tools for preparing and analyzing a corpus. For a file-building job, save formatted documents as separate TXT copies, remove unwanted markup, then join the files and inspect frequencies or sentence extracts. Corpus Builder v3.1 accepts up to 50 separate TXT files or one ZIP containing the set; its page then directs you to check the assembled result and copy it into a text document. Several routines use file uploads rather than pasted input, so the input route depends on the chosen tool. Saving a TXT copy is preparation for that route, while preserving the formatted original.
