What it does
LG Channels provides free live television and selected on-demand programmes on supported screens.
The US guide describes LG Channels as a way to start watching without registration or a login. It is available on LG Smart TVs from 2016 onward, Android and iOS devices, and through a computer browser. On televisions, the dedicated remote button or webOS navigation offers a direct route into the guide. The separate Channels Home app includes on-demand videos from some channels, while the channel lineup can depend on the television operating system.
Strengths
- No registration is required for the free service described in the US guide.
Watch out for
- Television operating systems can limit the channel lineup.
