What it does
Liberty Shield offers VPN/proxy subscriptions and preconfigured routers for devices that need a network-level connection.
Liberty Shield's preconfigured router is useful when the target device cannot run a VPN client. Its official page names games consoles and video-streaming devices as examples and also offers software or manual client setup. Choose whether the device needs a VPN tunnel or a proxy route before following the guide. The trial requires cancellation before its forty-eight-hour period ends to avoid a charge, so it is an evaluation of a paid service rather than a permanent free tier.
Liberty Shield's policy says it does not log individual browsing activity or VPN traffic. It separately permits connection times, chosen server location and daily transferred totals, and describes generic app diagnostics sent to an analytics provider. Those distinctions matter when comparing a prepared router with software access: a different installation route does not establish different provider retention rules.
Strengths
- Preconfigured VPN routers
- Software and manual setup choices
Watch out for
- The trial converts to paid access unless canceled in time
Best for
- Users who need a ready-configured router for non-app devices
