What it does
LibreStock publishes a monthly selection of ten photographs under CC0. Each collection is available for one month before being replaced, while the CC0 permission for downloaded photographs continues.
Browse Collection is the place to assess the current selection. Its small monthly format suits an open-ended visual brief, but is less useful when you need a permanent archive of a precise subject. Save the file while its collection is available; the next month’s selection replaces it.
Search Photos also includes premium results from Shutterstock. Those results take you to a separate provider and do not carry LibreStock’s CC0 terms. The terms also explain that CC0 covers the photograph’s copyright, without automatically clearing visible brands, artworks or uses involving recognisable people.
