What it does
LibreWolf is an independently maintained Firefox derivative that applies privacy-focused settings, removes telemetry and includes uBlock Origin.
LibreWolf starts with a Firefox base and changes the defaults. The project includes uBlock Origin, removes telemetry and disables features such as DRM as part of its privacy and freedom goals. This is useful if you want those decisions made in the browser package rather than reproducing a long settings checklist yourself.
The DRM decision is also a real compatibility tradeoff: a service that requires that facility may not fit this browser. LibreWolf says it builds from current Firefox stable source. Use its own installation instructions for Windows, macOS or Linux rather than treating it as an ordinary Firefox release channel.
